Old fashioned fun awaits in Barnesville, Minnesota as the lowly spud takes center stage for the annual Potato Days Festival. Touted as one of the best potato producing areas in the country, Barnesville is proud to celebrate their potato heritage with two days of "spud"tacular excitement. A perfect weekend getaway, the entire family will enjoy bushels of activities from sunrise to sunset. The festival, originally dating back to the late 30's, combines some of the more traditional fare with a new millennium twist. There's something for everyone, from the nostalgic Potato Picking and Peeling Contests to the updated Miss Tator Tot Pageant and the specialized art of Mashed Potato Sculpturing.

Welcome to the Bayfront Blues Festival, one of the largest annual outdoor music events in the upper Midwest. Each year nearly 20,000 fans are treated to more than thirty different acts on two stages at one of the region’s most beautiful open-air venues….. Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park. For over 19 years the Boundary Waters Blues Fest has been entertaining the people of the north land with some of the best blues music and top musicians from across the country and beyond. Our stage is set against the beautiful backdrop of Fall Lake, in the heart of the Superior National Forest. Aside from the Beauty of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, what really sets this event apart is its family friendly, “back yard blues party” atmosphere. Our attendees are like old friends that gather each year in celebration of the blues and welcome you to join the party. After the music, we all enjoy walking around and visiting with folks around campfires. Sometimes the musicians will even hang around at the fire for a little fireside acoustic jam.

The Maple Grove Lions Foundation and the city of Maple Grove partnered together for Concert on the Lawn, two nights of concerts in September. Each night will feature three musical acts and include beer gardens and food trucks at Central Park in Maple Grove. “The Maple Grove Lions, their motto is “we serve” so every dollar we raise goes right back into the Maple Grove community,” explained Phil Leith, a member of the Maple Grove Lions. “You can come out and support Maple Grove, have a good time, and hear some good music on top of it.”

Lakes Jam is a annual event that unites rock and country music fans from all walks of life and brings them together in the Brainerd Lakes area! Located in lakes country on the grounds of Brainerd International Raceway, the area boasts beautiful scenery and allows Lakes Jam to offer optimal camping and weekend fun. Lumberjack Enterprises produces high quality family entertainment for fairs, festivals, schools, and corporations throughout the entire United States. Jamie Fischer is the grandson of Harold Fischer, the famous lumberjack who performed at the very first Lumberjack Days in 1934 and for many years after. These guys do a fantastic job! Shows are typically 30 minutes in length. This keeps the crowds coming back time and again. If you’re looking for family friendly entertainment, don’t miss them!

The Minnesota Bluegrass August Festival is held annually at El Rancho Mañana Campground. This festival features top national touring acts as well as the best bands from the Upper Midwest region in four days and nights of music on multiple stages, plus workshops, showcases, and much, much more! This festival is really an entire week of musical fun at El Rancho Mañana near Richmond MN. Bluegrass, Old-Time Stringband, and related forms of acoustic and Americana music are combined to suit a wide range of interests. You'll enjoy hearing something familiar and discovering something new! Pre-festival instructional camps will be followed by four days of bluegrass and old-time bliss.

We are looking forward to celebrating 30 years of rock and roll at Moondance in 2021 with Halestorm, Cheap Trick, Todd Rundgren, Don Felder, Grand Funk Railroad, Night Ranger, Firehouse, Lit, The Guess Who, Foghat, ThundHerStruck and more! Almost Cooper, The Fabulous Armadillos and Mountain Ash will be on the main stage for the Pre Jam Party on Wednesday night. Camping is a major part of the Moondance experience. All campgrounds are clean and well lit with twenty-four hour security provided by the Cass County Sheriff and Moondance security staff.

We aim to make St. Paul Oktoberfest Minnesota’s most authentic Oktoberfest! Just like the Munich original, our festival is held in September. Our beer is imported directly from Munich and our food is from local German restaurants. With fun for the whole family, it’s a two day celebration of traditional German food, beer, and culture. Twin Cities Summer Jam was founded in 2018 as the first multi-day, multi-genre music festival in the Twin Cities, MN metro area. The goal of TC Summer Jam is to bring the best musical acts possible to an outdoor festival setting, so fans can come together for an unforgettable experience. More than 35,000 people attended the festival in its inaugural year. The lineup included Aerosmith, Tim McGraw, Pitbull, Rascal Flatts, Reo Speedwagon and more.

The fair began in 1964 as a way to increase awareness of the arts while raising money for Uptown projects. Although the event has grown and changed over the years, its core mission remains the same. Each year, much of the proceeds from the fair are returned directly to the community to enhance numerous programs and activities. Aside from showcasing amazing art, the fair is a celebration of the hip, refreshingly unconventional Uptown community. Vintage Band Festival began in 2006 as a multi-day event with performances in outdoor settings all over Northfield, Minnesota and surrounding communities. These four-day events occur on three year intervals. During the intervening two years, a one-day event is staged and this happens only in Northfield and only at one location.

Since WE Fest’s inception in 1983, it has been one of the leading country music festivals in the nation. Twice nominated for the Country Music Association’s prestigious Best Special Event award, WE Fest is widely regarded as one of the most outstanding events of its kind in the nation. WE Fest offices are located on the scenic Soo Pass Ranch, which also contains a natural amphitheater that accommodates up to 50,000 people, including 7,000 reserved seats, and 10 separate campgrounds with a total camping capacity of 35,000 people.

The Winstock Committee is announcing Winstock will take place Friday-Saturday, Aug. 20-21, 2021 at the festival grounds in Winsted instead of the previously-announced June 18-19. Winstock is one of the Upper Midwest’s premier outdoor country music and camping festivals organized entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds from this event used to help fund private education for students from Winsted and surrounding communities. More than 1,000 people volunteer more than 5,000 hours to bring you the opportunity to enjoy country music’s finest entertainment, food, and fun.
